Q50–Q2000
A family of electronic water treatment configurations for industrial pipework. Model and installation selection require an engineering review.

Assess scale control and solids removal separately, then define how they fit into the existing cooling-water system.
Discuss your systemScale, settled solids and a connected treatment plan.
Assess electronic treatment against deposits, pipework and equipment conditions.
Assess basin sweeping and filtration against basin layout and hydraulic conditions.
Record the baseline and compare equivalent operating conditions over an agreed period.
Keep necessary water-chemistry, hygiene and blowdown controls. Each retrofit needs its own operating baseline.
A useful project record includes equipment configuration, operating baseline and the agreed monitoring period.
Practical considerations for this application, its existing treatment and performance review.
Identify the dominant problem first: deposits on connected equipment, basin sediment or suspended solids. Review the main loop, basin and side-stream path separately. Basin geometry, load and existing treatment determine whether electronic treatment, sweeping, separation or a combination should be evaluated.
Retain existing water-chemistry and microbial controls during initial evaluation. Any adjustment to dosing, blowdown or concentration cycles needs water-quality data and a site-specific review. Record makeup and discharge volumes alongside load and weather before attributing a water-use change to equipment.
Inspect basin deposits and collection records for solids management. Separately assess exchanger deposits, pressure drop, cleaning and heat-transfer behaviour. Cleaner basin water alone does not demonstrate restored heat-transfer performance; use records for each treatment task.
A useful configuration connects product ratings to the actual operating environment.
| Assessment area | Site information | Engineering decision |
|---|---|---|
| Pipework & connectivity | Outside / nominal diameter, material, branches and closed electrical loops | Model fit, clearance and signal conditions |
| Hydraulic conditions | Flow, circulation path, pump position and available pressure | Installation location and filtration configuration |
| Water & process | Hardness, suspended solids, temperature and existing treatment | Treatment roles and processes to retain |
| Operation & maintenance | Load profile, cleaning history, inspection and discharge access | Comparable baseline and practical service access |
Electronic scale control, particle separation and water-quality compliance are separate responsibilities. A site may need several coordinated processes. Neither scale control nor filtration universally replaces softening, membrane treatment, disinfection or chemical management.
Record equipment, deposits, cleaning intervals and existing water-treatment practice before changes.
Record load, flow, temperature, water quality and any parallel process changes during the observation period.
Compare cleaning records, pressure drop, heat-transfer behaviour or solids collection as appropriate to the application.
Separate measured results, operator observations and financial estimates. Do not assume every change comes from one device.
