Fit the system, not just the pipe.
- 01
The supplied manual describes installation upstream of the pump.
- 02
Review circulation time, turbulence and filtration with the technical team.
- 03
Check metal pipework for signal-affecting closed electrical loops.
A clear scope of treatment.
Maintain required disinfection, residual chlorine, pH control and water testing.
The device is not a filter or a disinfectant. No pool-volume rating has been confirmed.
Prepare for an informed decision.
Model-specific technical information
For installation planning, identify the model, pipe dimensions and site requirements. Consult the applicable manual and confirm the configuration before ordering.
QEQI Q49: practical questions
Pipe dimensions, installation and operation: answers for this product.
Explore treatment principlesCan Q49 be selected by pool volume alone?
Pool volume is useful context, but it does not describe circulation conditions. Q49 has a documented maximum pipe outside diameter of 63 mm. Review actual pipe dimensions, pump flow, circulation schedule and filter configuration together; the available information does not establish a universal pool-volume rating.
How is the installation point chosen?
The supplied manual describes installation upstream of the pump. Confirm this against the actual circulation layout, clearance and electrical supply. Include the pump, filter, bypasses and return lines in the review rather than choosing an isolated straight pipe without considering the system.
Can Q49 replace chlorine or the pool filter?
Continue filtration, disinfection, pH control and routine testing. Q49 is evaluated alongside these processes. A clearer appearance is not evidence of microbiological safety, and changes to dosing or filtration should follow the pool's operating requirements and measured water quality.
What should pool operators record during evaluation?
Keep records of circulation time, filter cleaning or backwashing, water clarity, pH and disinfectant readings. Log bather load, weather and dosing changes as well. Comparing these records with a pre-installation baseline helps separate treatment observations from changes in pool operation.
A specification is only the starting point.
A useful configuration connects product ratings to the actual operating environment.
| Assessment area | Site information | Engineering decision |
|---|---|---|
| Pipework & connectivity | Outside / nominal diameter, material, branches and closed electrical loops | Model fit, clearance and signal conditions |
| Hydraulic conditions | Flow, circulation path, pump position and available pressure | Installation location and filtration configuration |
| Water & process | Hardness, suspended solids, temperature and existing treatment | Treatment roles and processes to retain |
| Operation & maintenance | Load profile, cleaning history, inspection and discharge access | Comparable baseline and practical service access |
Electronic scale control, particle separation and water-quality compliance are separate responsibilities. A site may need several coordinated processes. Neither scale control nor filtration universally replaces softening, membrane treatment, disinfection or chemical management.
