Water softening typically reduces hardness ions. Electronic scale control has a different purpose and should not be described as removing dissolved minerals without supporting evidence.

Define your site objective: deposits, cleaning frequency, equipment behaviour or a specified water-quality requirement. The required process may involve more than one treatment step.

A change in visible deposits is not a hardness measurement. If the specification requires a particular hardness value, test that value with an appropriate method and retain the necessary treatment.

Compare energy or cleaning records under similar equipment load and water temperature. A different operating schedule can change the result even when the treatment remains the same.

Discuss the equipment objective and water-quality requirement separately. That distinction makes it easier to select a coordinated process rather than expecting one device to perform every role.

For system assessment. Follow model-specific instructions when installing equipment.
