Record pipe diameter with its measurement basis, pipe material, flow, water temperature and installation clearance. Add an overview of the equipment and existing treatment.
Describe the problem and how it is currently measured. Agree on a baseline and monitoring period rather than relying on an isolated before-and-after image.
Distinguish outside diameter from nominal pipe size. Photograph the intended installation point and note branches, valves, supports and access for maintenance.
For metal pipework, assess closed electrical loops. For circulation equipment, record the pump position and flow direction. Use the model-specific manual to confirm the final installation.
Inspect older pipework before changing the treatment process. Removal of existing scale can expose pre-existing defects or leaks, so access for inspection and contingency planning matters.
