Basin sweeping uses a planned flow pattern to move deposits toward collection. Filtration separates particles from a portion of the circulating water. Effective configuration depends on the basin layout, solids and hydraulic conditions.

Neither step alone resolves every cooling-water problem. Scale control, chemical management and hygiene remain separate assessment responsibilities.

Nozzle placement must account for basin geometry and dead zones. A main-pipe flow percentage alone does not describe how deposits will move across the basin.

Particle separation depends on the separator and operating conditions. When comparing efficiency figures, check particle size, single-pass or recirculation basis, flow and the test method.

Plan for discharge, inspection and maintenance alongside the hydraulic design. Track collected solids and basin deposits over a defined period to assess the actual operating behaviour.

For system assessment. Follow model-specific instructions when installing equipment.
